Maintenance

  • SURYAFLAME L.P. gas stove is simple & safe to use. Use Liquefied Petroleum Gas (L.P.G.) only unless / until customized for using CNG or PNG by authorized service professionals.
  • Always wipe the gas stove, clean after every use.
  • Always clean your cooktop with lukewarm water and mild soap. If you want to clean your cooktop with water remove all loose parts of the stove like Burner, Pan Supports, and Ringof Burners etc. Clean with the help of wet cloth, then wipe with cotton cloth and replace all the loose parts on their original position.
  • Do not scrub with a scrubber on the glass top of the stove. This leaves permanent scratch marks and loss of shine, remember glass is not covered under warranty. Always wipe the gas stove with cotton cloth.
  • If something overflow on burner due to any reason, put your burner in hot caustic soda water, and boil it for 10-15 minutes, wash it under running water, then clean the water with the help of hand jerks and cotton cloth and place it at previous location.
  • In case of auto-ignition cooktop, use match-sticks to ignite the burner for first use after every wash.
  • Push the knob, then only turn the knob for flame.
  • Do not pour cold water immediately after cooking.
  • Replace Hose Pipe every 2 years.Use only SURYAFLAME Hose Pipe.
  • Ensure the Regulator and Pipe are fitted properly.
  • After every 6 Month Boil all the Burners for 15 minutes to remove the Blockage.
  • Get your product serviced every year from Surya flame Certified Engineer.

 

Safety Tips

  • SURYAFLAMEL.P. Gas Stove is simple & safe to use. Use Liquefied Petroleum Gas (L.P.G.) only unless / until customized for using CNG or PNG by authorized service professionals.
  • Make sure that the room is well ventilated.
  • Use the gas stove for domestic cooking only.
  • Use only the standard rubber hose (SURAKSHA HOSE) meant for L.P.G. stoves.
  • Do not use vinyl plastic hose as it is highly inflammable.
  • While lighting the burner first open the gas valve on the cylinder, bring a lighted match stick to the burner, which is to be lit then push the relevant knob and turn it to the “ONˮ position.
  • While putting “OFFˮ the burner, first close the stove knob to the “OFFˮ position and then close the regulating valve provided with the cylinder regulator.
  • The cylinder should not be placed horizontally.
  • Take care to avoid spillage while cooking as this may result in extinguishing of flame and clogging burner holes.
  • Periodically see that the burner holes are not clogged and if clogged warm it with caustic soda and water solution and then rinse with water and then wipe it with cotton cloth.
  • Before removing a dish from the burner, switch of the appropriate knob as the resulting flame may burn your hands and also resulting in the wastage of precious fuel.
  • Switch off fans in the kitchen when the stove is in use.
  • Do not allow children to handle your gas stove.
  • Wipe and dry the burner before fixing after in case of washing
  • Always wipe the gas stove, clean after every use
  • Do not try to dismantle or repair the Gas Valves, Jets, or the Nozzle.

Do’s

  • Your SURYAFLAME L.P. Gas Cooktop is crafted for Liquefied Petroleum gas only. For calibration to “C.N.G or P.N.G. ˮ call your gas agency.
  • Always allow optimum flow of flame by the help of knob so that it covers only the bottom of the utensils. This will save 60% of precious gas.
  • If something overflow on burner due to any reason, put your burner in hot caustic soda water, and boil it for 10-15 minutes, wash it under running water, then clean the water with the help of hand jerks and cotton cloth and place it at previous location.
  • If you want to clean your cooktop with water remove all loose parts of the stove like Burners, Pan Supports, and Ring of Burners etc. Clean with the help of wet cloth, then wipe with cotton cloth and replace all the loose parts on their original position.
  • After each wash inspect the ignited burners for any un-due noise or flame coming out from the burners. If so, call the SURYAFLAMEcustomer care to rectify it, because it may melt the burner parts and also invite unexpected accidents.
  • In case of Auto-ignition Cooktop, use match-sticks to ignite the burner for first use after every wash, it may short circuit the ignition system if it is wet which is not covered under warranty.

 

Don'ts

  • Do not scrub with a scrubber on the glass top of the stove. This leaves permanent scratch marks and loss of shine, remember glass is not covered under warranty.
  • Do not use tava and pressure cooker in reverse position to prepare Rumali or Tandoori Roti, oven, tandoor or any other grilling. This will severely damage the glass top, which is not covered under warranty and may result in serious accidents.
  • Do not cook or roast on naked flame on top of the burner because it clogs all the holes of the burner, which reduce the efficiency of the burner and deliver poor quality of flame and also blacken the bottom of the cooking vessels.
  • Do not wash your cooktop when it is hot, the Glass top may break.
  • Do not spill cold water on glass top during cooking. It may break.
  • Do not hang utensils or kitchen accessories above the cooktop. The glass top will break if these items fell over it.
  • Do not put hot utensil at the top of the glass straight from the burner, it may break the glass.
  • Do not use Spark Lighter, use Surya Flame Brand Lighters only or Match Box.
  • Light the burner first then put the vessel on top.
  • While lighting the Burner, maintain a gap of 10 mm between the spark and the burner.
  • After cooking, close the Regulator also.
  • Always place the stove on a platform which should be above the higher of cylinder.
